Oh, my baby's first birthday! What a big day (for mom more so than baby, let's be honest). Sawyer had quite the string of celebrations. We did Christmas then on the 26th we made a quick trip to Delta for late Christmas/Sawyer's birthday and then back to Cedar for Sawyer's actual birthday on the 27th.

This truck from Grandma Ronna was definitely one of his favorite presents.
Dillon's sisters bought Sawyer a cake to go to town on. He didn't even question it. He was all over that cake. The best part was that for the majority of his cake eating he just dove at the plate with his mouth wide open because hands just slow you down.
Some late night snuggles with my guy the night before he turned one. Sweet face. Sweet boy.
Decorating for Sawyer's party was a good time. He got a dinosaur theme because I saw cute dinosaur birthday candles forever ago and bought them with the thought, "I'll use these for my little boy's birthday party one day." Sorry dude, mom's a little crazy.

Even after a couple of days of opening presents, Sawyer was still not into ripping paper or opening bags. He mostly just chilled by me while I opened presents for him but once the presents were opened he was all about checking them out.
Smash cake round two. He tried to eat it sans hands again but his chair wouldn't let him bend that far over so he gave in and brought the cake to his face.
And finally, some cute pictures of him enjoying a tiny sampling of his presents. This guy is loved and Christmas plus Birthday being next door to each other means he got spoiled.
