Wren Six Months

Six Month Stats:

Weight:  13 lbs 11 oz (11th percentile)
Height: 25.5 in (42nd percentile)
Head: 16.5 in (35th percentile)

This month baby girl found her feet and really likes to give them a good chew. She discovered how fun things that make a crinkly sound are, especially the wipes container. She cruises around on her back using her own little backward inchworm method. She sucked hard at sleeping and it was rough. She's definitely getting further away from sleeping through the night rather than closer and it's a serious struggle. She got to try solid some solid foods and handled them all really well aside from the peas. She was definitely not a fan of those. She's getting a little bit of stranger danger but it only seems to surface if she's overtired. I kind of love the way she looks up at me after someone talks to her like, "Are we cool with this one, Mom?" We love little Wren and can't believe a half a year has passed already!

Borrowing cousin Allie's headband.

Dancing with Dad and Mike

Sawyer loves to play with Wren and they were having a good old time with this mirror.

First Christmas! (In her accidental Hanukkah jammies. I ordered them on my phone and definitely didn't take a close look at the pattern. Plus they were labeled "Holiday Pajamas". So, don't accuse me of cultural appropriation or something okay? Okay.)

Drums from her brothers.

Definitely getting some stimulation with those lights.

Banana teether from Santa. She looooves it!

Cuddling with Dad.

Hanging with Aunt Kristin at Sawyer's birthday party.

With Allie.

Just some cute baby noises.

Trying to keep her happy with alllll the teethers so that I can shower.

Best toy!

Her first hotel stay for my cousin Wesley's wedding.

Christmas dress from Grandma Paula and Grandpa Dale.

My babies always carry the bulk of their chub in the forearms. So squishable.

Visiting Great-Grandma Hossner.

This lucky babe had blueberry empanada filling for her first food. Third baby perks.

Fresh outta the bath, with the tiniest blonde mohawk you've ever seen.
Her face every time she Sawyer comes in her view.

Sawyer showing her his hat from preschool.

Getting a quick roll in.

Her backward inchworm scoot. It's usually more extreme but you know how it goes when you try to capture your kids' things on video...

Getting a little safety help from big brother.

Foot..

..Chew
Chilling in the stroller while we clean our church building.

Sawyer strolling her so that she'll stay happy.

Wren Five Months

Wren became a little chewing monster this month and gnaws on just about everything; toys, blankets, and, especially, her hands. She gags herself all the time trying to get her whole hand to fit in her mouth for a good chew. She started the month being sooooo close to rolling and then finished it off by constantly rolling from her back to her front. She still doesn't roll the other way because she's pretty anti putting in effort regarding tummy time. She'd rather just bury her face in the carpet and arch her back so that her feet pop up instead of her head. And then when she's tired of that she either turns her head to the side and sweetly waits for us to get her or screams bloody murder until we come get her haha. But zero effort to roll to her back. We moved her out of our room and into her crib this month and it went shockingly well. Wren has become the queen of spit bubbles and it makes us laugh so hard. We love this sweet baby girl and are so glad she's ours.

Sawyer getting in his regular cuddle sesh.

Well checks!

Got a good sleepy grip on her favorite ball.

Hanging with Aunt Andee (who isn't afraid to hold Wren now that she's a bit sturdier).

With Grandpa Dale at Thanksgiving.

Me and my girl.

With Uncle Devan.

Wren's first visit with Santa. She slept through it ha.

Visiting Uncle Greg.

And Aunt Monica.

Cousin Mason.

And Aunt Kristin. Everybody needed their baby time when we visited Delta over Thanksgiving break.

Another wrap picture to add to the group.

Delta did fireworks after their Christmas parade and Wren was in total awe.

Wren and Jaidyn.

Christmas jammies from Grandma Ronna.

Trying to figure out that rolling thing.

I bought this onesie when I only had the boys. No immediate plans for another baby and obviously didn't know if it would be a girl but I HAD to have it just in case.

And she's totally rocking it.

Sawyer encouraging Wren to lift up that dang head during tummy time.

Showing off her outfit from Grandma Paula and Grandpa Dale.

Rolled over!

So many videos trying to capture her milestones.. she was trying to roll and then stopped to give her head a little rub which means she was tired. I had to keep this video because it's a sweet little self soothing thing that Sawyer used to do too. Loved it then, love it now.

Another effort for that rolling trick.

Made it!

Those little crossed feet during a nap.

Another outfit showoff- from Aunt LeAnne and Cousin Brynlee.

Hanging with Dad at the ward Christmas party.

Wearing her Donald Trump socks she got at the family white elephant party.

Outfit showoff- Aunt Rachel and fam.

Those spit bubbles are crazy. She means business.

I can't remember why we did this little photo shoot but didn't use it it for her five month pics?? But here's a little highlight reel anyway..

And then on actual five month picture day.. haha.
