Sawyer Twelve Months

Weight: 20 lbs 12 oz (20th percentile)
Height: 30 1/2 in (73rd percentile)
Head Circumference: 18 in (30th percentile)

During his twelfth month Sawyer:

Added to his one-word vocabulary ("up" apparently was his first word and I just didn't know that he knew what it meant...so just kidding on his eleven month post). He now says up, uh-oh, mama, and all gone.

Became a crawling speed demon. He's also lightening fast at walking around holding on to stuff. He'll stand alone for a few moments but only when he's not paying attention to himself. As soon as he notices he's standing, he panics and plops down on his bum.

Earned a new title of "bruisehead". He constantly has at least one bruise on his head. As one heals, he gets a new one. I watch him, I swear. (Watch him ram his head into stuff...). I'm thinking it's just natural territory with this clumsy mobility stage.

Managed to make it thus far with zero teeth. Zero. But he's a champ at eating food so I guess there's some munching power hidden in those gums.

Participated in all things Christmas including: making a footprint keepsake ornament for his first Christmas, visiting Christmas Lane, going to a family Christmas party where he met Santa and loved on his first candy cane (he was totally chill with Santa, probably because he has a thing for facial hair...I could see him contemplating petting that snowy beard), checking out the lights at Hogle Zoo, helping Dillon hang the lights on the house, and decorating gingerbread houses.

Stamping an almost one year-old's foot is tough business

The best entertainment for a car ride. Cousin Braden. Notice Sawyer's little foot resting on Braden's chin. That was it's designated spot.

Hanging out in the hotel
Bundled up for the Zoo Lights in his wagon

My....hut because building is hard
He also celebrated his first Christmas and his first birthday...separate posts because those are biggies.

Love you baby boy!!
