Sawyer Nine Months

Weight: 19 lbs 3 oz (28th percentile)
Height: 28 1/2 in (60th percentile)
Head Circumference: 17 1/2 in (26th percentile)

During his ninth month Sawyer:

Got his first haircut...which was really more to trim his three random spots of long hair.

Started holding his own bottle (which is wonderfully convenient when he wants to eat at the exact.same.time. I need to pump; it's so much easier).

Became OBSESSED with my pumping equipment which I keep between the two couches. If I leave the room for a second, this is always what I come back to. And don't even think about blocking his access unless you want big crocodile tears.

Started eating normal people food and abandoned the attempts at baby food (more or less). His little body just couldn't process that baby mush. He does pretty good with the new food. However, if he decides he doesn't like something, rather than spitting it out, he immediately gags and throws up. So that's fun.

Enjoying some morning Fruit Loops
Off the carpet, because that's how we roll

Became super mobile. He started out the month rocking onto his head/belly and wiggling on the tips of his toes to get around. Then he transitioned to a mix of army crawl and inch worm. By the time the month was over he was full on crawling (which was really at nine months and five days buuut no one cares about the minutia except me).

This little man has my heart. He grew and changed so much this month. Everyone we see tells us he looks big for his age...I'm not sure why, maybe his height? I always think he'll be off the charts at appointments because of the stuff everyone says..and he never is. Maybe everyone else only knows midget babies?

Sawyer loves his dad and lights up when he comes home from work (tired of seeing my face I suppose). When Dillon plays with Sawyer, he can get him to grin and flap his little limbs in pure joy. And my heart melts with all the mushy, cheesy goodness.

We love you Sawyer. Thank you so, so much for being ours.
