Wren Two Months

Two month stats:

Weight: 10 lb 3 oz (34th percentile)
Height: 22 1/2 in (56th percentile)
Head: 15 in (34th percentile)

Wren caught her first cold this month. It was short lived but still sad while she had it. Plus, nursing a snotty baby is frustrating on both ends. She was all over the place with sleeping and eating and started to be a little fussier in the evenings. She did start to settle into a semi-schedule towards the end of the month and that included her only waking up once a night which is just so dreamy. My body seems to be able to fall back asleep fairly easily after one night feeding but any more than that, it just thinks it should be awake, which is hard.

She really does not appreciate being overheated (which I can relate to) and seems to get hot really, really easily. With that, her skin struggled a lot this month, mostly her face and head. She got a bit of heat rash on the back of her head/neck and then had the craziest baby acne of any of my kids. It was so intense that I was looking into baby allergies and considering going  dairy free for a minute. But after a few weeks, it finally started calming down and looking mostly normal.

She's just starting to try to make some noise. There's the occasional coo but it's mostly deep breath sounds after her mouth and tongue wiggle around a ton in a very concentrated effort to create sound. So fun.

She's been favoring turning her head to the right so we've been working on getting her to go the other way and she's not very cooperative. But we'll keep trying so that her head hopefully stays even.

We all love her and her brothers still haven't lost any of their enthusiasm for her being around which is so great. They've got the perfect balance of interest. Enough that they want to interact with her, not so much that they try to haul her around on their own.

One of the few times I could convince her that pacifiers really are the way to go.

Rocking to some Taylor Swift tunes.

Rocking again with a cold.

She can be so serious and it makes me laugh.

6 week picture with Dr. Gatherum.

A plus one to our date. Definitely pulling out her best look ha.

Just trying to capture her little details because they will change so fast.

Just appreciating these moments because I know her sleeping on me like this is quickly coming to a close.

How she spends Dawson's gymnastics time.

Her sad skin and this was even after it started to improve.

Those wide-open mouthed, squinty eyed grins.

Cute outfit from Aunt Kristin.

One of her favorite places- rocking with Grandma.

Some two month photo shoot cuteness.

Tuckered out after pictures.

Dawson singing to her in the tub. I have a cuter, longer video from when he did it the first time but I can't get it to load. Lame. But I still love the way she looks at him with total attention in this one.
At her first parade with me and the boys.
