Hello Blog-o-sphere!

Are you ready for a peek into the Thatcher life? Well ready or not this blog is making it's way onto (into?) the blogosphere. I make no guarantees regarding this little blog's entertainment value or my own writing skills. For a long time I've wanted to keep a journal and do in fact own one that receives little tidbits of my life story here and there but oh so sparingly. I'm hoping this blog will be an easier journaling avenue.

The blog development is still in the primitive stages. I basically have no idea how to do anything on here yet, but prepare to be dazzled :) I will figure it out.

To give this post a little more meat I thought I would review 2012 Thatcher style (sorry, no pictures for this one).

  1. We moved out of our first apartment and into my grandpa's house while he and his wife are on a mission. There are so many perks to this arrangement but one of the best is that we have our very own backyard, hooray! That and a carport. I love this carport the way a fat kid loves cake because it prevents me from having to scrape my car windows in the morning. That window-scraping is the worst. It makes my teeth ache, ya know?
  2. We bought a "man-dog" for Dillon. We already had my little long-haired Chihuahua named Peaches. She is ridiculously tiny and what I like to refer to as ugly-cute. Anyway, Dillon felt that we needed to procure  a dog that he could take on a walk without hiding his face in shame so we got Alice. She is a German Wirehaired Pointer and quite the handful. To complete our pet-ownership status we also transported Dillon's turtle Little Buddy to our new home.
  3. Dillon graduated from SUU with a bachelor's in Engineering Technology with an Architecture emphasis.
  4. I completed my first year of teaching and about cried in relief and exhaustion.
  5. Dillon and I celebrated our second anniversary in June.
  6. Dillon's friend Todd and his little brother John lived with us for a couple of months. No more walking around the house naked- I kid, I kid.
  7. Dillon finished his work with an SUU professor on a new, up and coming architecture/engineering business known as MAS (Modern Arch Structures).
  8. And last but not least, we loved each other as much as ever. We laughed together, learned together, and grew together. Boy do I love that guy!
Altogether, it was a pretty great year. Looking forward to the happenings of The Thatcher Life in 2013!

  1. about time you start a blog!

I totally walk around naked and hate when people visit because it stops me from doing it. I don't kid about it.

Welcome to blog land! 2012 sounded like a great year! Happy New year!
